Our last evening in New Orleans was one I’ll never forget.
Not only did we dine in the home of Grammy Award winning trumpeter, Irvin Mayfield, but we also had the opportunity to participate in Robert Fogarty’s famous project, ‘Dear World.’
Robert X. Fogarty started ‘Dear New Orleans’ as a rallying cry after Katrina. These photographic love notes to New Orleans have spawned an international form of expression from people all over the world. ‘Dear World’ has been featured in the Washington Post and New York Times.
Our NOLAbound group had the opportunity to participate in Mr. Fogarty’s project. Here are our parting love notes to you, New Orleans. You will always hold a special place in our hearts:
