Lines continue to divide us.
Here in Atlanta, I-20 splits whites and blacks. Property lines separate the rich and the poor. Political lines pit liberals against conservatives.
I see the Atlanta Beltline as an instrument to unite us. After all, it’s a circle not a straight line. A circle represents Inclusion, Wholeness, Unity. Let’s walk around its paths together. Let’s enter the sanctity of each other’s neighborhoods, share a meal together in its parks. Let’s use the Beltline to open our souls, start talking, telling others what’s on our hearts.
I will gather one story per mile, 22 in all. I hope you’ll add yours.
